Food is restaurant is good and staff is helpful and friendly. Except front desk reception women who made a point to be rude to my Thai wife every interaction.
Other than that good hotel." |

I do a lot of travel which requires an overnight stay near the airport. I have tried so many different places trying to find a quiet, restful place. This has become the cream of the crop, even better than Novotel at Suvarnabhumi at a fraction of the price! <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
by Wesley Stanton Visit Date:January 17, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The Vismaya Suvarnabhumi Resort is brand-new, and not yet completely finished. It s located down a soi that gets progressively rougher the closer it gets to the hotel. We were picked up by free shuttle from the airport (5 minutes ride from hotel back to airport, a bit further from airport to hotel). The Vismaya greeter had our names on his list even though we hadn t provided flight information.
The facilities are immaculate, spare and modern. The pool area was a great place to relax with our feet in the water, a book and a drink in our hands.
We were greeted with cold mango juice and a comfortable place to sit to fill in our registration form. Our room was fine, with a pleasing design, cool tile & concrete floor, and a view south over the reeds. Dinner in the hotel s restaurant was delicious (we chose Thai items, but there are non-Thai selections as well). The 4:00 a.m. wake-up call and 5:00 a.m. shuttle back to the airport were perfect.
As we were arriving, on the way up the soi, the shuttle driver pointed to a place and said, You can get a good massage there. We did! Better than any other foot massage we d received while in Thailand. It s about halfway from the hotel to King Kaew Road, and we walked there & back.
Other than the massage, there s not much within walking distance. I don t think we d stay there for a multi-day visit to Bangkok, but if ever we need a hotel near Suvarnabhumi again, for a late arrival or early departure, we ll certainly choose the Vismaya. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
