Check-in was speedy, requests of big-bed granted. Many group tours come to this hotel, so for breakfast it was very busy, however the service was speedy, the waiters even remembered that I wished two toasts the next morning. I take it as a personal insult, if none of the front office staff speaks a decent word of English, although the Mandarin Golden Valley Hotel & Resort claims to offer an international standard of service and even has an English version of their website. Apart form that, there was no English newspaper available and even not a single English TV channel. Hotel seems to be from the 80s, however, it is in a good condition and very clean. Staff barely speaks English but they try their best. Free WLAN in lobby. If you want action, check out the hotel down the street. The pool is beautiful and a perfect setting. Rooms are spacious and in good shape, although far from new. The breakfast is very good. For other meals, you will need to go elsewhere but there are alot of choices.
