The city is dotted with 400 glittering Buddhist temples of great beauty and fascination, magnificent palaces, classical dance extravaganzas, numerous shopping centres and traditional ways of life, especially along the "Venice of the East" timeless canals and the Chao Phraya River of the "River of Kings" winding through the city. Good and fast service, will use this again., March 13, 2007 by M Verbruggen Visit Date:March 3, 2007 "Very good luxury hotel in a good central location in Bangkok, very close to shopping, nightlife. Very nice room, as to be expected from 5-star hotel, with great views over the city. Exemplary service by staff and great buffet breakfast! Good value for money; will stay here again." |

Easily booked. Received the level of room we booked with no problems., February 20, 2007 by Patricia Krueger Visit Date:February 4, 2007 "Sofitel is a wonderful hotel. Above-average room, above-average breakfast included, walking distance to Patpong, restaurants, river taxi and massages. Good housekeeping service. Very comfortable bed. Only downside is a tiny pool." |
Good, January 31, 2007 by Jörgen Andersson Visit Date:January 25, 2007 "This hotel does not measure up to the standards of a 5 star hotel. Examples:
-The door to the bathroom in the room can only be closed from the outside (!?!)and a lock doesn´t exist at all.
-The pool is on the 5:th floor. The sunbeds (aprox. 8 of them)are situated under a part of the building which covers them with shade all day long.
-The staff in the gym are mainly interested in watching tennis on tv. They get bothered by the clients.
-You can´t visit the top-bar if You are wearing sandals.
The breakfast, cleanliness, decor is very good. I´m NEVER going to stay att a Sifitel again mainly due to the posh attitude of the staff at the hotel. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
February 4, 2007 by Simon P Ingledew Visit Date:January 12, 2007 "This is a great hotel. My husband and I stayed here last year as well as this year and found the hotel to be just as good as we had remembered. The views from the rooms on the upper floors are fantastic and the hotel is close to the Sky Train and Pat Pong night markets.
Would definately recommend this hotel. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
Perfect and very efficient, January 11, 2007 by J.C. Kraak Visit Date:January 7, 2007 "Great and relaxing place to stay in hectic Bangkok. Good service. You really feel welcome and at home. Very good beds, you wish you have them at home! This is not always the case in other hotels. Very good location near evening market and lots of shops. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
worked very smootly, January 16, 2007 by Fam Graus Visit Date:December 31, 2006 "Very good value for the money: perfect rooms (Standard Double Rooms) and very good service, nice little gym.
The only complaint was that there was a queue to breakfast when we went rather late - perhaps due to New Years Season. But the breakfast buffé was more than excellent - it had everything!
Good location, close to Sky Train, the river boats and the night market. And yet our room on 22nd floor was completely silent with marvellous view over the town and river. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |

Oustanding. Good pricing, good reviews, good hotel information. Everything went smoothly with the booking, payment, and hotel reservation., January 17, 2007 by Damien Lorschy Visit Date:December 29, 2006 "The Sofitel Silom was great. The location was really good - close to the river, State Tower, Silom Square, Patpong Night Markets, Sky Train. And there are always taxis ready to take you wherever you need to go. The doorman always gives the drivers instructions, makes sure the meter is on, and gives you a slip with the taxi s details, and the hotel location in English and Thai. The hotel itself is very trendy and stylish. Everything about it (the lobby, the rooms, the restaurants, etc) was very comfortable, and the service was great. The buffet breakfasts were fantastic and the V9 restaurant and bar on level 37 (or something) was great. The gym is quite good for a hotel with top quality equipment, steam room, sauna, pool, etc. The only criticism I have is the hotel s distance from the cluster of shopping centres etc around Siam Square (MBK, Paragon, WTC etc) because we seemed to be there every day... As brilliant as the Sofitel was, we might consider staying closer to Siam Square next time. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
