A little out of town though since we were out for dinner every night the taxi fares can add up. Dinner at restaurant could be improved. And the table cloths changed a little more regularly. Our beachfront apartment was lovely. Be prepared to spray your room for mozzies though as this is not provided by resort
Breakfast was included in our rate but it was the same everyday. The infinity pool was fantastic! Overall not a bad stay. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |

by Selwyn M Pendergast Visit Date:December 28, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "requested rooms were not available upon check in, but offered upgrade to other rooms. The reason I booked here with my 3 children initially was for type of rooms requested. could have stayed elsewhere for better value" |
great as always, March 18, 2009 by Tom Visit Date:March 12, 2009 "Nice little hotel, we found the rooms ok but without any charm, staff was friendly. While hotel is on sea front there is no beach to lie on you have to stay on the main terrace but there a sun chairs. Overall hotel ok but only for a few nights would not spend complete holiday week(s) there. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
September 3, 2008 by W.B.
ok, August 7, 2008 by Cecilia Nystrom Visit Date:July 17, 2008 "The hotel is ok. The staff was a bit confused about our booking that we made through this site, couldn´t find it. The place is way off (need to take a taxi to town) and you can´t swim in the sea. The place have a nice pool though." |
July 3, 2008 by Julieanne Maree Morcos Visit Date:June 24, 2008 "This was the most expensive hotel we stayed at on the island so we thought it would be the most enjoyable experience however it turned out to be the worst. I admit the room was very clean on the first day however on our arrival we had to request soap as it hadn t been provided. the aircon kept us up all night making a terribly loud noise. the cleaners didn t change our bed sheets and all the pillow cases had dirty stains them from previous guests. we had to call house keeping to request they actually change our bed sheets instead of just making the bed. They never cleaned the bathroom properly or replaced the coffee cups that had been used. The staff there were very unfriendly which was disappointing as it made us feel very unwelcomed. Every morning when we went for breakfast the girl who cooked the eggs, pancakes etc would never smile and all the staff would stand around and stare at us so it made us feel very uncomfortable. The reception staff were the worst of the lot. There was a brother and sister who worked there who were very arrogant to us and other guests. Overall we were not at all happy with our stay at Samuii Island Hotel. I felt as though we waisted our money and i strongly feel that if they are not happy working there then they really should give their job to the Thai people who i m sure would be more than grateful to have their job. I would never stay at Samuii Island Hotel again and i have already told many people in Austalia about my experience. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
Excellent, March 30, 2008 by Trevor Phillips Visit Date:March 23, 2008 "I cannot recommend this hotel enough, it is a beautiful, quaint, FRIENDLY, location for any holiday maker or traveller to stay in whilst in the north end of chaweng beach, Koh Samui. The location was perfect, right on the beach with easy access to the local strip of shops, market stalls, clubs and bars. We stayed in a garden view bungalow on a b&b basis, which was basic in western terms, but was spotlessly clean, with air con, mini-bar and daily housekeeping service. The location felt extremly safe, with very friendly and hospitable staff and local people. We will definitely be back soon!!!!" |
excellent!!, March 30, 2008 by Trevor Phillips Visit Date:March 23, 2008 "This hotel was our accomodation for a 3 night stay in Chaweng, Koh Samui. We stayed in a standard garden view bungalow on a b&b basis. The room was basic by western standards, but did have air-con, mini-bar, daily housekeeping service, and very very friendly and polite staff. The location was fantastic, right on the beach with easy access on foot to the local strip of shops, markets, bars and restraunts. We will be back!!! <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |

Me and my daughter had a pleasent stay at this hotel! The staff is very nice and helpful. The hotel is very familier, you feel very welcome. We stayed for one week, and we ll come back. We stayed in a standard bungalow, very clean and tidy. We stayed one night in a deluxe bungalow ! Very very nice!!
The hotel building is new.
The pool was perfect, clean and nice.
The restaurant and the thai-food is the best we had in our stay in Thailand !

Perfect, March 31, 2008 by Tobias H. Visit Date:March 13, 2008 "Staff is very nice, Pool is clean, beach is not the best. We had a Superior Bungalow and it was OK.It was cleaned every day but I recommend to bring a baldachin if you want to sleep safe .Breakfest was OK. Summarizing, this resort is OK and located in the north of Chaweng so it s not so noisy but takes a time to go to the party zone . <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
Easy to use, February 22, 2008 by Erland Soegaard Visit Date:February 2, 2008 "We had a pleasent stay at Samui Island Beach & Resort, the staff was very serviceminded and helpfull at all time, the room at hotel were exellent, the balkong was a nice place to enjoy the evening, to get to the beach it was some minutes to go, just enough to do the daily exercise. The location is quiet and relaxing. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
June 11, 2007 by Bob Dillman Visit Date:May 28, 2007 "Hotel was very quiet, mostly because it is was back behind several others and it was hard to get to. Coming back from town at night you have to walk down a very dark and deserted ally to get to hotel. I had to change rooms because air conditioner not working. A/C quit working in the next room after 3 days. I was not happy with my accomodations also because a family of tree frogs lived by my door and they kept me awake at night. They were very loud. I had to leave a day early and they would not refund for the day I did not use, and made me pay 3oo baht for a ride back to the airport. I will not stay at Samui Island Resort again. The pool was not very clean, and during the day, the tide was out and it was several hundred yards to the waters edge. The food in the restaraunt was very expensive and not that good. All in all, I did not enjoy Samui Island Beach Resort & Hotel and I would not recommend to anyone. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
perfect, satisfied on 99%, May 15, 2007 by Vaclav Kunt Visit Date:April 30, 2007 "Very nice accomodation for this price. Is is really not far into the beach. It was not more than 1 minute to get there from out bungalow. Location is in the north of Cheweng therefore it is ideal for people which are looking for quiet place. In next trip we will select some other accomodation close to main Cheweng beach life where all beach estaurants, ski and surf rentals and bars are located. Hotel should improve their breakfast offer where no cheese or smoked-meat products was available (except sausages). <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
