by Fon Visit Date:August 17, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "The resort was quite nice and conveniently located. The beach is nice and quiet. Good thing about the resort is that it has a lot of seats in shade (coconut trees) right on the beach. Only have breakfast and some afternoon snacks/drinks there and it was just so so. Prices are rather expensive. But there are many restaurants by the beach, they are quite good and much cheaper. All in all we enjoyed it a lot and will be back. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
by Julie rosewarne Visit Date:August 7, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Nice family run hotel set on beach represents good value for money. Decent sized clean rooms, friendly staff. Very reasonably priced hotel massage on beach. Only problem is location, if you want to be in Hua Hin expensive taxi ride & very little round hotel." |

Always excellent and helpful with any problems that arise. Highly recommend, June 14, 2009 by Nicholas O`Neil Visit Date:June 12, 2009 "The hotel is on the whole excellent and I would say the staff are the best I have come across in Thailand (my son aged 2.5yrs loved them all)
The room we originally booked was not as nice as we had hoped so we paid extra to move to the huge 2 bedroom apartment in the main part which was simply superb overlooking the beach some 30 meters away. A bit expensive but worth every penny especially as I needed to work a couple of hours a day (great wifi!!)
Hotel restaurant is a little pricey but the food is good. The apartment had very good cooking facilities so most mornings we cooked our own.
We will be returning again next year and looking forward to it already. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |

February 3, 2009 by Sally Visit Date:February 1, 2009 "Location : The property is very beautiful and well maintained. It looks prettier in real than in pictures. Located about 20 mins from town, there are public buses every 10 minutes going in to town for 10 baht per person. Tuk Tuk service provided by hotel to public bus stop is efficient and always available on the spot. But if you require walking-distance access to shopping malls, 7-11, laundry, markets etc then this property (or Khao Takiab) would not be ideal. Transportation is necessary for any of the above.
Beach : Very wide with powdery sands but lots of broken shells. My kids had a great time riding horses on the beach, however not cheap and no bargaining. Plenty of sun beds and nice big beach towels available for guests use. Accommodation : There are so many room types to choose from, which was a bit confusing for me, I asked the hotel to send me their configuration map which laid out all their room types and that was useful. The 2 main blocks of 5 storeys hotel rooms are facing each other with a big swimming pool in the middle. We stayed in Block A (north facing) our room is very dark all day. Block B (south facing) would be a better choice for those who prefer brighter and sunnier rooms. Rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. Beds and beddings are new and comfortable. No problem with air-conditioning, no noise and self control temperature. We all slept very well. I think Garden Rooms have somehow been under-rated by some comments that I have read from Reviews about their location being set back in the car park area. In fact, the ground is very well designed and taken care, so it doesn t really bother. Also they are tucked away from the swimming pool and the main buildings - it s actually pretty quiet and exclusive. Food : We ate only once in the hotel restaurant as food is not of good value and small in portion. There are 3-4 restaurants right on the beach which are far better serving inexpensive tasty food.
Service : Everyone is so friendly, although some have language barrier, the staff are always polite and eager to help. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
The booking eas easy and response prompt., June 30, 2008 by Alan Jay Samuelson Visit Date:June 24, 2008 "Our stay was enjoyable. The service was good and the staff frendily. the only thing negative is the beds were too hard making it hard to get a good sleep." |
Good as usual., April 29, 2008 by Vanich Virangkur Visit Date:April 24, 2008 "It was little less than expectation. We stayed in pool side room, eventhough the room condition was fine right beside the pool on the first floor. But if you are thinking of rest and relaxation I would suggest you select the cheaper upper floor. It was very noisy (especially on weekends) starting from very early in the morning. The beach was terrible, lots of broken seashell around and not suitable for young kids to play in the sand and be sure to wear sandles on the beach. The sea was swimable but beware of jellyfish sting especially near or during rainy season. BTW this hotel allows guests to bring their pets. One time I have to ask the hotel to clean up the dog poop in my balcony. For 5,000 bht/night with no breakfast it seems to be over-priced compare to others in the area. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>" |
